Snow Monkey

Crossing the Atlas Mountains I came across the sometimes friendly but sadly endangered Barbary macaque. This was my first ever interaction with monkeys in snow! This species of monkey is indigenous to North Africa, including Morocco. It is the only African primate (non-human) found north of the SaharaDesert.
